  • Intensive therapy has been rigorously researched in recent years and has been proven to be a highly effective form of therapy for children with neuromotor diagnoses.

    The standard dosage to expect at Brave Pine is 3-4 hours per day, 5 days per week for up to 4 weeks. The dosage each child receives will be determined on an individual basis with various factors taken into consideration.

  • Our intensive therapies specialize in neuromotor conditions that impact physical skills, movement, cognition and functional participation in daily life.

    We primarily serve children with conditions such as cerebral palsy, congenital or acquired brain injuries, neurological or genetic conditions affecting motor control, neuromuscular conditions impacting posture, coordination, functional participation, cognition and communication.

    Our services focus on supporting participation in self-care, play, mobility, and daily routines through occupation-based and family-centered care.

  • We are primarily located near Lynchburg, Virginia. However, you do not need to be local to receive services. We work with families from all over the globe!

    All therapy is done in your home setting. We can provide you with a list of temporary rentals and suggestions of locations to stay in the Lynchburg area.

  • Intensive therapy services are not appropriate and is not an evidence-supported intervention for every diagnosis or every need.

    Eligibility for services is determined individually, not solely by diagnosis. Contact us for a free virtual consult if you have any questions.

    **Brave Pine does not provide emergency services or behavioral/mental health counseling.

  • You do not need a medical referral from a physician. However, it is strongly recommended to have your current therapists provide recent evaluation reports or a brief summary of progress and goals. This can help determine if an intensive therapy model is appropriate and allows coordination of care for best outcomes.

  • As a nonprofit, our aim is for this program to be accessible for all. We offer sliding scale rates and have financial need based scholarships available with application.
